Generator Fuel Policy

The generator is equipped with a 5-gallon fuel tank. The first full tank of fuel is included with the rental.

For longer events, the generator may require additional fuel during operation. Additional fuel policies and refueling options are outlined separately to ensure uninterrupted service and safe operation.

⚠️ Important: Generator must be operated outdoors only and placed well away from tents, enclosed areas, doors, and windows.

Usage & Safety Guidelines

  • Outdoor use only — never operate indoors or in enclosed spaces

  • Must be placed on a flat, stable surface

  • Requires gasoline (fuel not included unless otherwise arranged)

  • Do not operate beyond the generator’s rated capacity

  • Adult supervision required at all times

JJ’s Party Rentals & Planning staff will review proper placement and safety guidelines at delivery.

Additional Fuel & Refueling

Customer Refueling

The customer may refuel the generator using the correct fuel type, following all applicable safety guidelines.

JJ’s Refuel Service (Additional Charge)

If JJ’s Party Rentals & Planning is requested to return to the event site to refuel the generator, the customer will be charged:

  • The cost of additional fuel, plus a 20% fuel service markup, and

  • An additional trip/service fee for the return visit

Important Notes

  • The initial tank of fuel is included in the rental price

  • Additional fuel charges apply only if JJ’s supplies fuel beyond the first tank

  • Generator must be powered down and allowed to cool before refueling

  • Runtime varies based on connected equipment and electrical load

  • Use of incorrect fuel may result in damage or service charges
