Rental Terms, Equipment Care & Customer Responsibility

The following guidelines are in place to protect guests, rented equipment, and JJ’s Party Rentals & Planning. By accepting delivery of rental equipment, the customer agrees to these terms.


Delivery & Setup

• A responsible adult (18+) must be present during the scheduled delivery window.
• The setup area must be fully cleared of debris, sharp objects, pet waste, and obstructions prior to arrival.
• Electrical outlets used for inflatables must be a dedicated 20-amp circuit.
• Once equipment is positioned and secured by our team, it may not be moved, adjusted, or relocated.
• Equipment must remain on the approved surface type agreed upon at booking.

Failure to meet setup requirements may result in cancellation of the rental.


Customer Responsibility

Customer assumes full responsibility for rented equipment from the time of delivery until pickup.

Customer is responsible for ensuring equipment is operated safely and properly at all times and is liable for any loss, theft, vandalism, misuse, neglect, or damage occurring during the rental period.


Inflatable Safety & Use

This includes bounce houses, water slides, slip n slides, combo units, obstacle courses, toddler units, and dunk tanks.

The following rules apply:

• No shoes inside inflatables.
• No sharp objects.
• No food, drinks, candy, gum, or silly string inside units.
• No pets on or inside equipment.
• Adult supervision is required at all times.
• Do not exceed posted capacity limits.
• Blowers must be turned off immediately in high winds or severe weather.

Units must be reasonably clean at pickup. Excessive dirt, mud, staining, gum, or prohibited substances may result in cleaning or damage fees.


Concession Equipment Care

This includes popcorn machines, cotton candy machines, sno cone machines, nacho cheese warmers, hot dog warmers, peanut warmers, and margarita machines.

All concession equipment must be returned wiped clean and free of food residue.

• Kettles and warming trays must be cleared of debris.
• Syrup spills and sugar buildup must be cleaned.
• Cheese warmers must be emptied and wiped clean.
• Ice must be removed from sno cone machines.

Improper cleaning may result in additional cleaning fees.


Margarita Machine Cleaning Requirements

• All remaining product must be drained.
• Fill the machine with clean water.
• Turn on and run water through the spout as if serving a drink to flush internal lines.
• Continue flushing until water runs clear.
• Drain all water completely.
• Wipe exterior surfaces clean.

Failure to properly clean and flush the machine may result in cleaning or service charges.


Generator Use

• Generators must not be overloaded.
• Only approved fuel types may be used.
• Generators must never be operated indoors or in enclosed areas.
• Units must remain in a well-ventilated outdoor space.

Customer assumes responsibility for safe operation during the rental period.


Equipment Condition & Damage Policy

Normal wear and tear from ordinary use is not the responsibility of the customer.

Customer is financially responsible for damage resulting from:

• Failure to follow safety rules
• Negligence or misuse
• Unauthorized relocation
• Operating equipment in unsafe weather
• Prohibited items (food, gum, silly string, pets)
• Improper generator use

Repair or replacement costs may be charged at full replacement value if equipment is deemed non-repairable.


Weather Policy

Inflatables and outdoor equipment must not be used during lightning, heavy rain, or high winds.

If weather conditions become unsafe during the rental period, equipment must be powered down immediately.

No refunds will be issued due to weather conditions after equipment has been delivered and set up.

However, rentals may be cancelled at any time prior to setup at no charge.

Customer is responsible for monitoring weather conditions during the rental period.


JJ’s Party Rentals & Planning reserves the right to refuse service or terminate a rental if equipment is being used in an unsafe or negligent manner.
